An invitation letter provided by a friend/family member in Rwanda. The letter must include the following details:
- Personal details of the individual invited: Name, gender, date of birth and passport details.
- The inviting person’s details: Name, address, telephone number and their relationship to the applicant.
- Proof of residence (electricity/water bill). In addition, copies of the inviters' (hosts') IDs and in case the inviters are not nationals of Rwanda, copies of their residence permits in Rwanda and their passport information page must be submitted along.
- Visit details: Dates, purpose, visit destinations and accommodation details.
- Proof of the host's status in Rwanda ie. copy of their Rwanda passport's information page, or, if they are not a citizen of Rwanda, copies of their Rwanda residence permit and their national passport's information pages.
A copy of the return flight itinerary, the reservations must show the applicant's full name as per their passport, as well as the flight date and full itinerary.
All travelers who are above nine (9) months old travelling to or transiting through Rwanda must be vaccinated against yellow fever at least ten (10) days before the scheduled travel date. Travelers who have already been vaccinated must present a proof (certificate) of vaccination showing the vaccination date which should be no older than ten (10) years.
Scanned photograph copy (3.5*4.5 cm), the photograph must be clear and in sharp focus and must have been taken no longer than six months ago. The photograph must have a white background and the applicant showing neutral expressions and not smiling, it must show a close-up of the face and shoulders such that the face constitutes 70-80% of the photograph.
