In order to be eligible to enter Mexico without a visa the above travelers are required to present Mexico entry requirements below:

  • Passport valid or travel document for international travel.
  • Filled Multiple Migratory Form (FMM); the form will be provided by the airline or at the port of entry into Mexico. It could also be obtained online.
  • Additional documents to prove your purpose of visit might be required.

If you don't meet any of the above criteria you will have to apply for a Mexico visa before your trip.

Starting 2015 the Mexican Immigration Authority has introduced this new admission permit for foreign citizens traveling to Mexico regardless they require a visitor visa or not. The tourist card is valid for a single entry by air or land and allows a duration of stay up to 180 days starting from the date of entry into Mexico.


The Mexico tourist card online process has simplified the process for tourists when entering and leaves Mexico and helped them to avoid long lines and queues at the international airports.

The Mexican tourist card also known as FMM (Forma Migratoria Múltiple) is processed entirely online. You will just need to fill the online application form and pay the processing fees by credit card or debit card. After that you will receive the tourist card approval by email. You must print it and carry a copy to present to the Mexican immigration officials at the port of entry.


Please note, the tourist card FMM isn't a visa to Mexico. Foreign nationals from countries that require a visa to Mexico must apply for a visa in advance from the nearest Mexican embassy or consulate. Business travelers don't require to apply for tourist card FMM.
