What Documents Are Required For China Visa In Canada?

At present The People's Republic of China has 5 diplomatic representations in Canada to cater to all Canadians and foreign national in all jurisdictions. These representations are:

• Chinese embassy in Ottawa
• Chinese consulate in Calgary
• Chinese consulate in Montreal
• Chinese consulate in Toronto
• Chinese consulate in Vancouver

The mainland China provides a handful of different travel visa type with single entry visa, double entry visa and multiple entry visa. Here are the documents you should submit based on your main purpose of travel.

ChineseTouristVisa Requirement:

1. Original passport with minimum validity of 6 months.
2. Signed Chinese visa application form. The application form must be filled online on the official website, please click the following link: ChinaVisa Application Form.

4. Proof of your legal residence status. Applicable if you are citizen of other foreigners nationalities other than Canada.
5. Previous Chinese visa copy. If you are applying with a new passport please include copy of information page of the passport that contains the visa.
6. The trip itinerary including return air ticket reservation and proof of a hotel reservation, etc. or an invitation letter issued by individual in China if you will be will be staying with family or friends.
7. Canadian residence permit.
8. Minors will need to submit birth certificate.
9. Chinese visa fee.
10. Visit the Visa Application Centre.
11. Additional documents might be required for former Chinese citizen.

ChinaBusinessVisa Requirements:

1. Original passport. The passport must be valid for 6 months with blank pages.

4. Proof of your legal residence status. Applicable if your passport issued by another foreigners country other than Canada.
5. Previous Chinese visa copy. If you are applying with a new passport please include copy of information page of the passport that contains the visa.
6. Invitation letter issued by your business trade partner in China. The invitation letter can be an emailed scanned copy.
7. Canadian residence permit.
8. Chinese visa fee.
9. Visit the Visa Application Centre.
10. Additional documents might be required for former Chinese citizen.
