Schengen Visa Photo Requirements
When applying for your Schengen visa application it's very important to ensure that the photograph you are submitting meets the exact Schengen visa requirements or your application will be rejected. The same photo requirements are applicable to all 26 Schengen countries being:

Schengen Visa Photo Requirements:
- The photo must be recent and taken in the last 6 months. One photo should be glued - not stapled - on the paper application form while the other submitted loosen.
- The photo size must be 35 mm x 45 mm. Any other size will not be accepted.
- The photo must be in neutral colors. Edited photos or black and white photos are not accepted.
- The photo must have white background.
- The photo paper must be of a high quality. Printed at photography studio with mat finish.
Schengen Visa Photo Specifications:
- The face should takes 70-80 % of the photo size. The size should be between 32 mm and 36 mm.
- The photo must show the full face from the tip of the chin to the crown of the head as well as both sides of the face are clearly visible.
- The photo must be in focus and clear contrast.
- There should be no reflections or shadows on the face.
- The head should be straight and looking straight into the camera. The expression should be neutral.
- The eyes must be open and clearly visible. No hair should be cross your face.
- If you wear glasses, your eyes should be clearly visible with no reflection on the glasses. Avoid heavy frames and tinted glasses.
- Head cover is not allowed except for religious reasons. The face must be visible from the chin tip to the forehead with no shadows on the face.
