Do I need a visa to China?
Foreign nationals who hold an ordinary passport and make travel plans to visit mainland China must obtain a Chinese tourist visa, Chinese business visa, or another Chinese visa type from one of the Chinese embassy or Chinese consulate abroad unless they come from one of the visa-exempt countries.
At the moment there are 18 countries whose nationals hold ordinary passports are eligible to visit China without a visa. The duration of stay varies as below:
- Duration of stay up to 90 days:
Armenia - Bosnia, and Herzegovina -San Marino
- Duration of stay up to 60 days:
Mauritius
- Duration of stay up to 30 days:
Bahamas - Barbados - Belarus - Ecuador - Fiji - Grenada - Qatar - Serbia - Seychelles - Tonga- United Arab Emirates
- Duration of stay up to 15 days:
Brunei - Japan - Singapore
Other visa-free arrangements:
- Group Visa:
Foreigner who holds ordinary original passport issued by one of the below countries and traveling as a tour group organized by a tour operator registered in both countries may visit China without a visa for up to 30 days.
Azerbaijan - Georgia - Moldova- Russia- Turkmenistan
- Crew members
Foreign national of the following countries traveling as airline crew may visit China without a visa.
Luxembourg - United Arab Emirates
